These "Recruiting Documents" were prepared when sending soldiers to the war but the orders were given by the Imperial General Headquarters to destroy them on 15 August, 1945. In the Battle of Okinawa, almost 500 students from 10 all-girls school were ordered to join Gakutotai (student corps). Most Gakutotai lost majority of their students in fierce battles but Fuji Gakutotai lost just 3 of their members. In 1941, the first-year students of Buddhist school, Sekitoku Girl's high School, were dressed in uniforms which were far from their sailor-style school uniforms. This is the girls' memories of 3 months that they spent not knowing whether they will live to see tomorrow.

The bombing caused hundreds of deaths and widespread destruction to the area. This film is based primarily on the eyewitness testimony of survivors who were between ages of 8 to 26 at that time. The story of Meijiza Theatre fire is an incredible story unearthed during the pre-production research.

They are fighting a hard battle and this is the film that makes you think about life.
